Monotype and Watercolour

with Crisis Members

Monotype is a form of monoprinting and there are several different approaches. We used paint brushes to paint onto plastic sheets. These sheets were then rolled through the press. The results are flat and the lines have the details of the brush strokes visible. We made paper chains and painted from them - some of use flattened our paper chains by rolling them through the press and then referring directly from these flatten forms while painting. Watercolours were used to introduce colour.
